The Magic Library

Charlie and Max are in the middle of the longest, hottest, boringest summer holiday ever. They've done everything there is to do, twice, and now there's nothing left  to do except die of boredom, which Max is worried might actually be a real thing.

That is, until an unexpected jam-thieving visitor appears in Charlie's refrigerator. The strange visitor is the Librarian and she needs Max and Charlie's help to find her Library, which has wandered off and gotten lost, as libraries often do.

But finding the Library is just the beginning of their adventure, because the Magic Library contains a copy of every book ever written ... or at least, it did, until something or someone begins erasing them, starting with the Legend of King Arthur. If Charlie and Max can't help the Librarian in time, it's not just one book that will be erased but every story of King Arthur, everywhere, forever.

What's cursing Camelot, and what can one Librarian, a candy-crazed book elf and two ordinary eleven-year olds do to stop it?

Like Doctor Who meets The Lion, the Witch and the WardrobeThe Magic Library is a fast-paced Middle Grade Fantasy novel full of fun and adventure in the tradition of Amy Sparkes' The House at the Edge of Magic.

Unstuck

Will's mum was the glue holding the Boyle family together but when she dies unexpectedly of cancer, they become... unstuck.

Will's Dad's transformed into a walking, talking bleep-bloop robot, his oldest sister Abby's grades are plummeting faster than a sky diving hippopotamus and his older brother Mike has turned into a terrifying rage monster.

That leaves it up to Will, the eleven-year old baby of the family, to try and figure out how to glue them all back together again.

Luckily, Will has a plan. In fact, he has several. Of course, figuring out which plan's going to work before the family explodes apart forever, or before they kill him, is going to be the hard part...

Unstuck is a funny and sometimes moving Young Adult Fiction novel about coping with loss and family... which can sometimes be the harder of the two. If you like Will Kostakis' The Sidekicks or Clayton Zane Comber's 100 Remarkable Feats of Xander Maze, you'll enjoy this book.
